Brunswick Bowling Screenies

Part of the Wii’s natural draw is in the simplistic, easy to pick up and put down gameplay. Knowing that, Nintendo brilliantly included Wii Sports with the console, giving players simple, easy to play but scaled down versions of Bowling, Tennis, Baseball, Boxing and Golf. Naturally, developers are going to want to expand on any or all of these sports and aside from a Tiger Woods golf game, we haven’t seen much in the way of realism.

Crave Entertainment is taking the road less traveled with Brunswick Pro Bowling for the little white console that could. Using a control scheme similar to Wii Sports, players can look forward to a more serious game of bowling. Character customization is par for the course…or rather lane, since you’ll be able to change everything from shoes, to shirts, to facial hair. Plus, with what other game can I legitamately say that you have free reign to pick your balls. Only the right ball will do. Unlockables include new balls (snicker) and new alleys. A career mode for the serious bowler is part of the experience, though this is the first time I’ve ever heard of bowling rivalries outside of Kingpin.

Check out the screens and look for our review, coming soon.
