HardOCP Vs. Infinium Update

We’ve been following this story for a while. HardOCP.com posted an article on their site with cold hard facts about Infinium Labs and it’s CEO, the manufacturers of the aptly named Phantom video game console. The article put the company and it’s CEO in bad light, but only based on public record and interviews. IL threatened HardOCP to take the article down or face legal action. Minor corrections were made to the article (age of the CEO) but legal threats continued.

HardOCP then filed suit in Texas to force a decision, rather than wait in uncertainty in a shadow of legal speak.

Now, according to ShackNews, Infinium Labs has filed for a dismissal of the suit in Texas and has in turn filed suit themselves against HardOCP in federal Florida court.

On the outset, IL’s actions appear to be one of unfair play. Get the suit out of texas and force the defendants to come to Florida in order to ride it out for however long. Cowardice, I call it. We’ll keep you posted.
