Matrix Online, Meet America Online

Or at least Instant Messanger. According to the Adrenaline Vault, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment plans to incorporate AOL’s Instant Messanger into it’s Massively Multiplayer Online Game, so you can not only communicate with in game users, but with non-game players as well. Although Adrenaline Vault quotes the official site, no mention of it could be found at Warner Bros or AOL.

MxO, as it is dubbed, is the MMORPG set in the world of the Matrix, from the movie trilogy. However, lack of interest in all but the first of the trilogy may have doomed it’s online game before it’s release. Having AIM inside of a game and easily accesible could be a boon to any game, but I’m not sure even Neo himself could re-spark interest into this title.
