SNK/NeoGeo on the XBox

E3 registrants received a press release from SNK/Neo Geo today announcing their proverbial hat bring thrown into the XBox ring. Their first game you ask? Metal Slug 3. SNK also plans to release a new game in the Vs series of games we’ve seen in the arcades. This time it’s SNK Vs. Capcom Chaos. Samurai Shodown is apparently also in the works.

I’m torn on this issue. In a land of Splinter Cells and Soul Caliburs are gamers really going to take a step back to play these 2D fighting and side scrolling games? I guess we’ll see.
