Take 2 Gets Serious About Sam

2K Games (a division of Take 2 Interactive) and Croteam officially
announced the return of a cult classic to the PC and Xbox. Serious Sam
2 (working title). According to a press release this morning, the team
behind the award winning first person shooter of 2001 has been working
on a new look, a new story and a brand spankin new engine to handle it
all.

The game isn’t due out till the fall, but E3 expo-goers should get a
glimpse of the action. Screenshots taken from a tech demo at this
year’s Game Developers Conference of the engine is enough to get
players excited though. If Croteam has managed to capture the details
of the Far Cry engine with the humor Serious Sam is known for, fans and
newcomers alike should be more than satisfied. Look for more in May.
