Disney to Put 'Cruise' on the Big Screen

Yahoo News quotes the Hollywood Reporter’s story of The Walt Disney Company’s plans to turn another of their theme park rides, The Jungle Cruise, into a feature film.

The Jungle Cruise, originally adapted from a series of television programs of the late 50’s, takes riders on a river expedition to face crocodiles, tigers, anacondas and even head hunters. The ride is known for it’s corny, tongue-in-cheek humor and it’s menagerie of audio animatronic animals. The movie is set to take viewers on a similar adventure, but no word yet of base plot or casting.

These geeks remain skepticle. We know they can be very good (a la Pirates of the Caribbean), but we also know that can be very, VERY bad (The Country Bears and The Haunted Mansion).
