Metroid Movie Debunked

Just before E3 2004 got off the ground, news reports in the gaming world had more flow that Bill Gate’s salary, so it’s no surprise that many of them were stretched rumors.

Gamers took note though when the Hollywood Reporter and Comingsoon.net both told of legendary John Woo’s entry into the vid game turned film market. Metroid Prime and it’s Hemi of a herione could be coming to theatres in 2005-2006 thanks to the dove lover. Sources like that couldn’t be wrong, so we reported it too.

According to GameSpot this morning though, Woo himself hasn’t been signed, nor has any production begun on the silver screen translation. Producer Yoshio Sakamoto explains:
