Shank Starts the Bloodletting at PAX

Here’s another to come out of this weekend’s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Seattle. Klei Entertainment is showing off Shank a 2D hack and slasher that demonstrates what one might get by blending 2 cups of Castle Crashers with teaspoon of el Mariachi and a gallon of stage blood.

Confused yet? A heavily stylized cartoon art and animation style fuel an arcadey action/adventure game rife with knives, swords, guns and a chainsaw. It’s as if Quentin Tarantino directed a Metal Slug game (I’m all about the comparisons today).

We’ve got screenshots and some gameplay footage that get the juices flowin’. Lucky punks attending PAX this weekend get to draw first blood
