Sopranos Comes to A&E

A&E paid a cool $2.6 million for each of the 78 episodes of
HBO’s “The Soprano’s”. The episodes will be edited so they can be
shown on a basic cable channel. This is A&E’s effort to try
and enhance their documentary reputation. They have already
started airing reruns of “CSI:Miami” and will start running reruns of
“24” in the fall.

Although audiences will have to wait until Fall 2006 to see any
Soprano’s episodes because they will not air until the Soprano’s has
the Series Finale next year on HBO. This is very much like the
deal that TBS made with HBO for “Sex and the City” which started airing
this past fall to great success.
